Week of March 20th Weekly Recap

We definitely had some exciting games this week, some games leading to victory and others ending in defeat. We have seen our teams climb the rankings leaderboard as well. Without a further ado, let’s get right into our weekly recap.
Overwatch: Division One

Let’s begin with our Overwatch matches. Our first Overwatch match of the week was on Wednesday, March 22nd at 3:20 pm between Hollidaysburg and Richland. Hollidaysburg won the first two games, taking the win 2-0. This match left Hollidaysburg with their third win of the season, leaving them in first place with a perfect 3-0 score. This was Richland’s second loss of the season, leaving them in 8th place.
The second scheduled match between Bishop Guilfoyle and West Branch was rescheduled. During this time, we watched division two teams West Branch and Richland battle for victory, which is described below in the division two section.

For our following game on Wednesday, March 22nd, we saw Ferndale versus Greater Johnstown at 5:00 pm. Greater Johnstown did not hesitate in winning two games in a round, beating Ferndale with a 2-0 score. This incredible win was Greater Johnstown’s third game of the season, with a 3-0 score, placing them in 2nd place in the rankings. Ferndale is currently in 6th place with a 1-2 win-loss score.

Our fourth and final division one Overwatch match for the week was on Wednesday, March 22nd, at 5:45 pm between Shade and Everett. This match came very close, as neither team wanted to give up the victory. Everett won the first game but Shade managed to make a great comeback and win the second game. The teams took their fight to a third game, with Everett coming out on top, ending the match with a 2-1 score. This was Everett’s first win of the season, leaving them in 5th place in the rankings with a 1-2 seasonal score. This match was Shade’s first loss of the season, ranking them 4th place with a 1-1 score.


Overwatch: Division Two

Time for our Overwatch division two matches of the week! We started off the week with our first division two match at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, March 22nd between Shade and Greater Johnstown. Shade tried hard, but was no match for the power of Greater Johnstown this week, who beat Shade with a 2-0 score. Greater Johnstown is currently ranked in 3rd place with a 2-1 seasonal score. Shade is currently ranked in 5th place with a 2-2 score.

Our next match was on Wednesday, March 22nd, at 4:15 pm between Gateway and Ferndale. Gateway beat Ferndale two games in a row, winning the match with a 2-0 score. Gateway remains strong in the leaderboard standings, ranked 2nd place with a 3-0 win streak. Ferndale is currently in 7th place with a 1-3 overall score.

Our third division two match of the week was between Forest Hills and Salisbury-Elk Lick on Wednesday, March 22nd, 5:00 pm. Forest Hills won two games in a row, finishing the match against Salisbury-Elk Lick with a clean 2-0 score. Forest Hills continues its savage win streak, in 1st place with 4 wins and 0 losses. Salisbury-Elk Lick is currently in 9th place with a 0-3 overall score. Don’t give up Salisbury Elks, we believe in you!

Our last division two match of the week was actually at 4:15 pm on Wednesday, March 22, between West Branch and Richland, which was streamed on our division one stream on Twitch @TheEsportCompany. West Branch won two games against Richland, beating them with a 2-0 score. West Brach is currently ranked in 4th place with a 2-2 seasonal score. Richland is ranked 8th place with a 1-3 score.


Valorant: Division One

Let’s move on to our Valorant matches. We started off the week on Monday, March 20th, with a fantastic match between Penn Trafford and Hollidaysburg at 3:30 pm. Penn Trafford won 5 rounds of the match, but Hollidaysburg ended up beating them with a 13-5 score. Emine from Penn Trafford did a wonderful job, ending the match with 15 eliminations total. Vsniiipes from Hollidaysburg undoubtedly helped carry the team to victory, as he ended the game with great stats, 25 eliminations total. This win left Hollidaysburg in 2nd place with 3 wins and 0 losses so far. Penn Trafford is currently in 7th place with a 1-2 seasonal score so far.

Our next Valorant division two match was on Monday, March 20th, at 4:30 pm between Forest Hills and Windber. This was an incredibly close match, both teams playing to their best ability and hungry for the win. Amazing effort was displayed by both teams, especially sKippOF from Forest Hills who ended the match with 24 eliminations, and MrGary from Windber who ended with an amazing score of 34 eliminations! This match was Windber’s second game and second win of the season, leaving them in 3rd place with a 2-0 score. Forest Hills is currently ranked in 5th place with an even 1-1 score.

At 5:30 pm on Monday, March 20th, we had our last division one Valorant match for the week: Greater Altoona CTC versus Somerset. The GACTC Goats were certainly not messing around this week, winning each and every game against Somerset, ending the match with a phenomenal 13-0 score. The GACTC Goats remain in 1st place in the rankings with a perfect 3-0 score so far. Somerset is currently in 10th place with a 0-3 score. Keep up the great effort, Somerset!


Valorant: Division Two

Time for our division two Valorant matches of the week! We started off our matches on Monday, March 20th, at 3:30 pm between Shade and Greater Altoona CTC. This was a very close game, neither team ready to lose. Shade ended up taking the victory with a 13-11 score. Shoutout to Orange from Shade, who ended the match with a staggering 33 eliminations! Great effort to FireWithaKNFE from GACTC Goats as well, who finished the match with a great record of 20 eliminations and 14 assists. Shade once again defended their first place title, staying in first place with a seemingly undefeatable win streak of 4-0. This match was Greater Altoona CTC’s first loss of the season, leaving them in 2nd place with a 3-1 seasonal score.

Following right after the first match, we watched Richland go head to head against Westmont Hilltop, at 4:15 pm on Monday, March 20th. Westmont Hilltop fought with everything they had and ended up winning with a 13-0 score. Red Fish from Westmont Hilltop gave a great performance this match, finishing the game with a total of 17 eliminations. Signify4k from Richland also tried his best, ending with 9 eliminations total. In the leaderboards, Westmont Hilltop is currently ranked in third place with a 2-2 score. This match left Richland in 6th place with a 0-3 score. Rooting for you, Richland!
The scheduled third match between Bishop Guilfoyle and Westmont Hilltop was rescheduled.


Rocket League: Division One

We kickstarted Tuesday, March 21st with a thrilling match between Carmichaels and California at 3:30 pm. California beat Carmichaels three games in a row, ending the match with a fabulous 3-0 score. Adding another victory to its list, California still holds the first place Rocket League division one title, with 4 wins and no losses so far. This match left Carmichaels in 6th place with a 1-3 seasonal score.

Our next division two match was on Tuesday, Mach 21st, at 4:15 pm between Penn Trafford and Greater Altoona CTC. Penn Trafford started off strong and ended strong, taking the victory for the match with a 3-0 score.
The third match between Westmont Hilltop and Forest Hills was rescheduled.

Our fourth and final division one Rocket League match for the week was on Tuesday, March 21st, at 5:45 pm between Richland and Shade. Shade won three games in a row, beating Richland with another stellar 3-0 score. This game left Shade in 4th place with a 2-1 score and Richland in 7th place with a 1-3 score.

Rocket League: Division Two

Let’s wrap up our weekly recap with our division two Rocket League matches! We started off Tuesday, March 21st, with a stellar match between Gateway and Penn Trafford at 3:30 pm. Gateway’s great skills and teamwork helped them in winning a 3-0 victory against Penn Trafford. This match was Gateway’s second match and second win of the season, leaving them ranked in 1st place with a 2-0 win streak. Penn Trafford is currently ranked in 6th place, with 1 loss and 1 win so far.

The next division two Rocket League match of the week was on Tuesday, March 21st, at 4:15 pm between Gateway and Shade. Ready for more action and continuing strong from their first match, Gateway took another stunning win, beating Shade 3-0. This victory bumped Gateway’s total victories to 3 total and 0 losses, proudly defending its 1st place title. Shade is currently in 10th place with a 0-3 score. Everyone loves a good underdog story, Shade! Keep up the good work!

Our final division two Rocket League match of the week was Richland versus Forest Hills on Tuesday, March 21st, at 5:00 pm. Forest Hills displayed great teamwork and some crazy moves in beating Richland with a 3-0 score. This match left Forest Hills in 5th place with a 2-1 seasonal score, and Richland in 11th place with a 0-4 score. Stay positive and focused, Richland, a win may be in the near future!
